'A deep green laboratory for rain forest jungle farming that's a two-hour hike from Parati, the nearest sizable town. '
'The view over the Serra do Mar is beyond heavenly, and so is the
food—organic, vegetarian, from the forest: the beans, the bananas, the
fresh hearts of palm.'

'An amazing insight into sustainable living'

We had a fantastic day exploring the rainforest and the agro-forestry of the eco-farm. Michael was a great guide and made us feel really welcomed. He is fluent in Portuguese and is a native English speaker so was a great interpreter for us to get the most out of our visit with the family who run and own the farm. The family were lovely hosts and served us the tastiest lunch. The sons were very knowledgeable and could explain so much about the rainforest. It was truly amazing to see the family living in harmony with the rainforest. I totally recommended this tour to get a true insight into life in the rainforests in the region.

I visited the Eco Farm during a two week stay in Brazil last year. Most of my stay in Brazil involved extensive hiking and beach activities, but probably the best part of my trip was the hike up to the Eco-Farm where I met the Ferreira family.
I had the unique and unforgettable opportunity to hang out with the family for the day on their amazing property at the top of one of Brazil's "Blue Mountains". We had an awesome hike to get to the family's home, swam in their natural pool, ate an amazing meal of food that is all grown and farmed on their land, toured and learned about all of the places they plant and harvest their food, sustainable living, etc. It was one of those days you never forget. The Ferreira family is so warm and welcoming as was my hiking guide, Rodrigo. I felt like I was not a visitor but a welcomed guest.
Overall, the trip to the Eco-Farm was one of my best experiences in Brazil!!
